NWH - HURLINGHAM The Nairobi Women’s hospital was set up in March 2001 with the aim of providing holistic care to the women and children of the society. The hospital is the first of its kind in the East and Central Africa region. The founder and Group CEO, Dr. Sam Thenya, had a vision to serve God and mankind through excellent healthcare provision. For the last eight years we have seen the rapid growth and change of face of the Nairobi Women’s Hospital in reproductive health issues that has since contributed positively to the health-care sector in Kenya. We specialize in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, but are also competent to handle all other general, medical and surgical conditions that require specialized care since we have consultants in all fields of medicine.NWH - ADAMS The Nairobi Women's Hospital-Adams (NWH-Adams) is the newest branch of The Nairobi Women's Hospital! We are not only at the forefront of providing holistic, quality and affordable healthcare services but also healthcare services that are accessible. Situated off Ngong Road and opposite the Adams Arcade, this branch opened its doors in October 2009. The Nairobi Women's Hospital secured a lease with the former Masaba Hospital and we are therefore operating at the premises. The Nairobi Women's Hospital-Hurlingham will however continue to operate as we endeavor to bring excellent healthcare services to your doorstep. With a bed capacity of 77, the new branch runs on a 24hr basis and offers both out-patient and in-patient services. The Gender Violence Recovery Centre (GVRC), which offers free medical care to survivors of gender based violence, will also be operational in both the Hurlingham and Adams sites. The NWH-Adams boasts of several specialized out-patient clinics including daily ante-natal clinics (ANC), daily gynaecological services, special paediatric and immunization clinics and many others (see under Special Clinics) as well as a fully fledged maternity wing, a dental unit, paediatric wards, male wards, private rooms, two air-conditioned theatres, HDU and ICU. The hospital is easily accessible by both private and public (Bus routes: 3, 4W, 4C, 24, 102, 111) means, all available at the Kencom Bus Terminus in the Nairobi Central Business District (NCBD). |
